Winter Garden Blush Porn

December 28, 2006 at 5:49 am (Anime)

The stereotype for porno movies is that two people meet, and with a very very superficial excuse, start having sex. That’s basically what Winter Garden is, except instead of having sex, they just blush a lot, which I think for j-otaku is basically the same thing.

The Setup

“Uh, hi, I’m here to fix the copier.”

“O RLY”

“Yeah…lemme just have a look under the hood.”

“Why don’t you have a look under MY hood wink-wink-nudge-nudge?”

“Well, if you insist, though you’re not on my work order.”

“Listen. You’re hot. I’m hot. Let’s make out.”

The, uh, Climax

Ohhh

Unh unh unh

Right there baby; that’s the spot!

OhhhhOOOOoooOOOOoooooHAAAaaaAAAA!!11!1!eleventyone!

Was it good for you?

Basically, the anime courtship is just incredibly festishized. Fans fixate on particular elements of this process, so those elements show up repeatedly in anime. And if there were a centroid of moé, it would be embarrassment. (hazukashii!) manfiested primarily through blushing. This is why Winter Garden is basically deredere blush porn. Well, the first episode is at least.

More anime need to have dialogue like “I made this 4koma about you.” Too bad it wasn’t a gaijin 4koma.

I do have one question though…

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH DI GI CHARAT?!

Umm… something to do with the more-adult feelings of the previously loli characters (see: upcoming StrikerS)?

    Nevermind.

Ha! “Blush porn.” I’m going to remember that label, and use it for future reviews of anime romance. Love those captions too.
