It’s so good when he enters right where I want him to

January 22, 2007 at 2:44 am (Anime)

Nodame Cantabile is really good.

I quit covering SaiGar because I got distracted watching 135 episodes of Naruto am too busy with my schoolwork. I might return to it when it wraps back around to the top of the brackets.

SaiGar 1-D-3: Gay Porn.

January 13, 2007 at 6:45 am (Anime)

ABSTRACT: Harima subverts the bad-boy image by being sensitive. Freddie is a look-a-like to one of the most well-known gay musicians ever. Jun is a trap. Both peen0r and vagin0r are equal to Kaworu. And both “Rock Lee” and “Nicholas D. Wolfwood” are obviously porn-star names. Let’s get jiggy.

SaiGar 1-D-2: Taking a break today

January 12, 2007 at 10:44 am (Anime)

Sorry, but I am too hung-over busy to cover today’s SaiGar, especially since I’d have to research every single character on there, not being terribly familiar with any of them. However, I will provide a handy link to fellow anime blogger TJ Han’s older (several months before the conception of SaiGar) post on MANLY ANIME MEN which includes some backing for Masaru from Sexy Commando. You will have to scroll down a bit to get to it.

I’ll be back, hopefully, for the next match, where questions such as “Will Jun attempt to pentrate Kaworu’s sweet hole AT Field?”, “Will Jun try to play Altar Boy to Father Wolfwood?”, and “Will somebody tell me how Maito Gai lost when there are a hundred other nominees from Naruto in these matches?” “Where are the Narutard voters hiding?!” “Are they hiding in Jun’s AT Field sweet hole?!” may or may not be addressed.

SaiGar 1-D-1: Time for a LESSON, bitch.

January 10, 2007 at 6:00 pm (Anime)

This time we run into a bracket where I’ve seen *almost* every show.

ABSTRACT: Listen carefully, do whatever you want with the rest, but VOTE FOR ONIZUKA. Or I will never forgive you.

Saigar 1-C-3: Cyborgs, Space Pirates and Mecha Pilots

January 9, 2007 at 10:54 pm (Anime)

Today’s SaiGar matchup is thankfully free of bullshit harem protagonists. After some consideration I’ve had to make these summaries a bit shorter (at least until the two-match days have past) in order to have time for them.

ABSTRACT: You can actually vote for almost anybody here without cause for horrible shame, but personally I favor Batou and the Dread Pirate Space Pirate Captain Harlock GARlock.

Saigar 1-C-2: Quick Review Before You Vote

January 9, 2007 at 1:56 am (Anime)

Okay, I only know two of these characters before-hand, so you get to experience the results of my Lightning Research Hissatsu.

Abstract: Vote for Papillon (or just not for Mizuho) and MANji the MANkillah.
EDIT: Apparently Akagi doesn’t just bet his own limbs for whores, he does it to help people! Which I guess makes him pretty manly, so a vote for Akagi is also acceptable.

Alright, SaiGar, you and I need to have a little conversation

January 9, 2007 at 12:17 am (Anime)

So, I realize it is mostly a joke in the first place, but we gotta fix this whole SaiGar thing. I’m not going to get e-herpes by sticking my internet p0n0s in 4chan, so you, oh very small number of blog readers, will have to help.

Let’s take a look at this last bout to see what the problem is.

Group C
Contender Name Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 2 Round 1 Contender Name
L
Death Note

Hiraga Saito

Yakitate!! Japan

If you’re like me, you will notice a very strange thing on the right side: Manager Ken has been defeated! I thought that one would be a landslide, so I became suspicious. Then something was pointed out to me about the left side: an equally obvious winner lost just as handily. More on this case in a bit.

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora

January 8, 2007 at 2:27 am (Anime)

I don’t think I have ever seen quite this much shoujou packed into fifteen minutes of anime.

And is it just me, or does it seem like the mecha are just in here as an apology to the guys whose girlfriends make them watch this show?

This is probably not news but

January 7, 2007 at 6:34 am (manga, market)

I went to Borders today (I guess I should go more often). Apparently not only do they now carry manhwa, but they carry furry manhwa.
